Transferring pictures to your computer
To transfer pictures from your camera:
Connect a USB cable between your camera and the computer's USB port.
Set the camera to the
communication
mode and turn the camera on.
Click
Start-->Graphics-->Digital Camera Tool
or type
gtkam
The
gtkam
window will appear.
NOTE: If you do not have
Digital Camera Tool
on the menu, then you need to install the digital camera software from the CDs
.
The first time you run the digital camera software, you need to specify the camera model:
Click on
Camera-->Add Camera
and select your camera.
The window should then look something like this:
Click on the
next to the letters
DCIM
, then click on next
that shows up.
gtkam
should then look something like this, with thumbnail-sized views of pictures from the camera:
You can then choose to either:
Click on the pictures you want transfer, or
Click on
Select-->All
Click
File-->Save Selected Photos...
Click on the
OK
button and watch the status as the pictures are retrieved and saved to disk.
